Kelly Rowland Flaunts Her Hot Post-Baby Body on Instagram

EOnline.com:
Oh hey there, pretty mama!

Kelly Rowland looked all kinds of fabulous during a last-minute shopping trip in Beverly Hills yesterday.

The former Destiny's Child singer's post-baby body was on full display in her stylish outfit—skinny jeans and all—and was smiling from ear-to-ear shortly before entering a local department store.

Rowland just gave birth to her first child, a son named Titan Jewell, a little less than two months ago.

Yesterday, the Grammy winner posted a sweet Instagram shot of her husband, Tim  Weatherspoon, holding the little one and giving him a big kiss on the cheek,

The photo was captioned, "#myfavoriteguys" by the proud songstress—too cute for words!

Hungarian Folk Singer Accuses Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z of Ripping Off Her Old Hit

TIME.com:

It's tough at the top

One year after the release of her self-titled album, Beyoncé’s music is being closely analyzed yet again — and not, this time, from her Beyhive.

The singer is one of many who’s been accused of sampling without permission throughout her career. Questions of authorship and of sampling are particularly pernicious and difficult to solve in the recording industry; just this month, a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit against Beyoncé’s husband Jay Z for his sampling of a single syllable from a funk song. A new lawsuit filed by Hungarian singer Mitsou alleges that Beyoncé, Jay Z, and producer Timbaland used her song “Bajba, Bajba Pelem” at the start of “Drunk in Love.”

While musicians of all stripes can get hit with lawsuits given the unclear standards around sampling and the ephemeral nature of authorship, Beyoncé’s been hit more frequently than many of her contemporaries. Being queen, it’d seem, has a headache-inducing cost — as several of her songs and videos have come in for criticism.
  • “Baby Boy”: One of Beyoncé’s first solo singles was alleged by songwriter Jennifer Armour to bear substantial similarities to her “Got a Little Bit of Love for You,” which had been submitted as a demo to Beyoncé’s label. “Armour cannot prove Beyoncé had access to Armour’s demo tape before composing the allegedly infringing elements of her own song,” the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals wrote in a decision declining even to address the songs’ similarity.
  • “If I Were a Boy”: The lead-off single for Beyoncé’s album I Am… Sasha Fierce was penned by songwriter BC Jean, whose own version of the song was rejected by her record label. After Beyoncé discovered the song and recorded it, a Fox News gossip columnist wrote that Jean had been “strong-armed by Beyoncé’s people.” That seems a bit overzealous: For her part, Jean told an interviewer that she’d been surprised her first-ever song had been recorded by another artist, but that the Beyoncé version had “opened so many doors, it’s amazing.”
  • “Countdown”: Beyoncé took inspiration from contemporary ballet in her “Countdown” video, but one of her muses was far from flattered. Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker claimed “plagiarism”; though it’s difficult to cite a source in a music video, Beyoncé took it upon herself to credit De Keersmaeker in a statement after the choreographer spoke out. “I’ve always been fascinated by the way contemporary art uses different elements and references to produce something unique,” Beyoncé said.
  • “Run the World (Girls)”: The apocalyptic, disturbing clip for this 2011 single was specifically compared to the work of photographer Pieter Hugo, down to imagery of pet hyenas on chains. And her performance of the song at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards was compared to the similar work of choreographer Lorella Cuccarini. “Thank god for YouTube or I would have never been exposed to something so inspiring,” Beyoncé later said.

LeToya Luckett Talks Faith, Spirituality, and Letting God Be Her Guide

ESSENCE.com:
LeToya Luckett is on her way to becoming one of the hardest working women in entertainment. She just starred in her latest film, Drumline: A New Beat, and will soon appear in Lifetime’s Seasons of Love (Nov. 23)—all the while working on her upcoming album, Until Then. The Grammy Award-winning singer and actress spoke with ESSENCE.com about how her faith and her family have helped her get this far.

How would you describe your relationship with God?
I am definitely a woman of faith. My prayer life and my connection with God are on the highest level. I definitely would not be standing here doing what I do were it not for that. It is my only way of survival. My father was a minister so I was raised in the church. I guess I'm a lucky girl because I've always been taught, since I was a little girl, this is who you count on. This is who you lean on. It is my foundation.

Now that you’re older, how has that faith helped you in your day to day?
Things just started happening even without asking. I just let him lead with every single thing. I don't get in the way. A lot of times we get in His way; we get in our own way, and it ends up taking us in the wrong direction. This would be a boring world if we all made the same decisions and all were doing the same thing. The beauty of this whole thing is God has carved out a different story, a different path for all of us. It's up to us to connect to Him and follow it.

Can you recall a time when your faith was tested?
My Grandma passed away of pancreatic cancer. I was like, [God’s] the only one that's going to be able to get me through this. It didn't make the hurt or the pain go away, but there was peace in knowing who she was sitting beside.

How important is prayer in your life?
I know how to fall on my knees, even when I'm having hard days. I know how to go in a corner and just talk to my Daddy (God). Me and my sister and my best friend get on the phone every morning and pray about different things. Even if we can't talk, because both of them have kids and I'm on the road, we shoot each other texts. "What can I pray for you today?” It's a wonderful feeling knowing that you have women of God praying for you. There’s nothing like that.

What does it mean to you to be a woman of God?
We live in different times now. I know my grandmother might have said something like, ‘Hey, pull that skirt down.’ I get it because in older times times women carried themselves a certain way. I still do believe in carrying yourself a certain way and I do my best to be somewhat of a role model. I'm not a perfect person. I'm a human being. I'm not the Lord but I do accept that responsibility and that's why I do try to carry myself with confidence, with poise, with grace, and with class.

Beyoncé Knowles Shares Photo of Daughter Blue Ivy at Sister Solange’s Wedding

USmagazine.com:
Blue bestowing her blessing! Beyonce posted a sweet Instagram pic on Tuesday, Nov. 18, of her younger sister Solange and brother-in-law Alan Ferguson bonding with little Blue Ivy on their wedding day.

The snapshot features Auntie Solange in her creamy (and dreamy!) white Humberto Leon for Kenzo crepe cape, looking down at her 2-year-old niece. Little Blue, wearing a metallic white dress with a tiered skirt, holds her left arm up to touch the bride's hand for the special bonding moment.

Whatever Blue was saying to the couple must have been amusing, because the handsome groom, 51, is seen in the candid snapshot laughing down at his niece.

Tina Knowles Reportedly Engaged To Actor Richard Lawson

TheEpochTimes.com:
A report on Friday is saying Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, just got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Richard Lawson.

Knowles, a fashion designer, divorced her long husband, Matthew Knowles, a few years ago.

But now, gossip site MediaTakeOut.com reported that a “person close to Tina told us that Tina and Richard were engaged earlier this week.”

She’s been dating Lawson, an actor, for about a 18 months.

It adds: “The two met many years ago, and built a strong friendship. As years went by and both their situations changed, that friendship grew into romance . . . and then into a true and sincere love and respect for each other. We can honestly say that these two were meant for each other.”
Earlier this month, Knowles talked about life after her divorce from Matthew Knowles.

“The whole thing about dating was the scariest thing in the world,” she said, according to the Huffington Post. “And I would tell my friends, ‘I’m never going to find anyone. Where am I going to find someone? By now I’m 59-years-old, where do you meet men?’ It was really funny. So I just focused on myself.”

She added: “I hear that my ex-husband is getting married. Now, this is my family. My ex-husband is my family. I don’t want to get back into that at all, that’s not what I want. But it still hurts a little bit, right? It’s still a blow to your ego.”

Knowles also said that it has “been now a year and five months and I’m in a committed relationship with that handsome man! And I’m at my happiest I’ve been in a long, long time.”

Beyonce Knowles' Sister Solange Marries Alan Ferguson

People.com:
She's a married woman!

Solange Knowles tied the knot with video director Alan Ferguson in New Orleans on Sunday in front of about 200 family and friends, PEOPLE confirms.

The happy couple said "I do" at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans. Around 2 p.m., the pair arrived via white-painted vintage bicycles, and it was all about the details: The bride's basket held flowers!

"Beaming. Calm. They looked pretty calm, relaxed on their wedding day," one onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Definitely happy."

As for their arrival attire, the bride rocked a cream pantsuit with a cape and plunging V-neck (accenting her look with a red lip) by Stéphane Rolland, while the groom matched in a white suit sans tie.

Meanwhile, big sis Beyoncé pulled up about 15 minutes later in a black SUV, with husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy in tow. Mom Tina Knowles, son Daniel Julez and singer Janelle Monae also attended.

Ahead of their nuptials, the newlyweds celebrated with an intimate pre-wedding bash Friday at NOLA's Indywood Cinema, which Hayley Sampson, the theater's co-owner, told PEOPLE, "was pretty adorable."

"Luckily, I dated all of the losers ages ago," she told Harper's Bazaar earlier this year. "My love life has been stable for a while. It's a f–––ed up thing … without conflict it's a lot harder to write interesting songs."

In June, the two went on a romantic getaway to Jamaica, where the singer celebrated her 28th birthday.

Ferguson, 51, has directed videos for Katy Perry and John Legend, and won a BET Award for Best Video Director for co-directing Beyoncé's "Party" and "Dance for You" music videos.

This is the second marriage for the private star, who had Daniel Julez, 10, with ex-husband Daniel Smith.

StlAmerican.com:

A recent post reads as follows:

“Mr. X Blind Items Revealed: Which former member of that '90s R&B group has privately told friends that she was kicked out after she refused to accept the sexual advances of their manager, who also happened to be the father of the group's main member?  Latavia Roberson/Destiny's Child”

Beyonce Knowles' Sister Solange to Marry Alan Ferguson This Weekend: Wedding Details

USmagazine.com:
Following in her big sister’s footsteps! Solange Knowles is set to marry her longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson in New Orleans this weekend, sources exclusively confirm to Us Weekly.

The 28-year-old DJ has kept her wedding and even her engagement to the video director a total secret. The nuptials will take place near the home the “Losing You” singer shares with her 10-year-old son Julez in New Orleans.

Though much of the details of the event are being kept under wraps, Us Weekly has learned the weekend’s schedule.

On Friday, Nov. 14, the group will enjoy a movie night together before Saturday’s rehearsal dinner. Then on Sunday, Nov. 16, Knowles and Ferguson will make it official in front of friends and family.

Similarly, Beyonce married Jay Z in April 2008 in a secret ceremony.

This will be the second wedding for the diva's younger sister, who wed Julez’s father Daniel Smith in February 2004 when she was 17 and he was 19. In a 2007 interview with Essence, she confirmed that she had divorced Smith. Solange continues to co-parent her little boy with her ex

Ferguson has been close to the Knowles family for years, presenting at the 2012 BET Awards alongside his future sister-in-law. He also attended events with Solange, being photographed as her date. In June, the couple visited Jamaica for Solange’s 28th birthday, with the DJ posting rare photos with her man.

"Luckily, I dated all of the losers ages ago. My love life has been stable for a while," she told Harper’s Bazaar in March 2014. "It's a f--ked-up thing — without conflict it's a lot harder to write interesting songs."

Kelly Rowland on Becoming a Mom: 'I Have Been Completely on a High'

Essence.com:
It’s been one week since Kelly Rowland gave birth to her son, Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, and she’s understandably floating on cloud nine.

The 33-year-old singer tells ESSENCE she’s gotten through her new life of sleepless night “pretty good.”

“I have been completely on a high getting to know my son Titan,’ she says. “I’m so in love!” In fact, the former Destiny's Child singer says she wakes up smiling. “I could look at him 24 hours a day,” she says.

So who is the better diaper expert at her home? Rowland says her husband, Tim Weatherspoon, has perfected diapering skills. “[He’s] better than I am,” she says.

Welcoming a child has been one of the most magical experiences in her and her husband’s lives, says Rowland. “I don’t think we knew that much love existed for one human being,” she says. “Now I know how God feels about us.”

On Monday, Rowland shared the first few lines of a new lullaby she wrote just for her little prince on her Instagram page. In the post, Rowland shows baby Titan’s head and can be heard singing the lines, “You will always be/Mommy's little baby.”

LeToya Luckett Talks "Drumline: A New Beat" and If She'll Return to "Single Ladies"

Wetpaint.com:
Former Destiny’s Child singer LeToya Luckett is one busy gal these days, jumping into the role of Nia Phillips for VH1’s made-for-TV Drumline sequel, Drumline: A New Beat. When Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with LeToya, she dished on her character, her love of acting, and whether or not she’ll appear in the new season of VH1’s Single Ladies, which found a new home on Centric TV.

Wetpaint Entertainment: Tell us about your experience working on Drumline: A New Beat
LeToya Luckett: You know, it was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun. Of course, I’ve been a fan of Drumline all those years ago when it came out and I’ve been a fan of drumlines and marching bands my whole life because I’m from the South. Just to be a part of such an amazing cast and everything that this film will do for HBCU [Historically Black Colleges and Universities] brings attention to events and funding and brings awareness to schools and education is awesome.
I did a little research to prepare for the role. My grandmother was a dean as well, so I took a little from her experience and kind of used it to my advantage.

Which do you love more: acting or singing?
I love both. It’s hard for me to say. Not only am I an artist, but I’m a fan of music and a fan of film. But because I’m passionate about both of those things, I’m gonna be able to do both, you know, to the best of my capabilities [laughs], you know act and sing. I can’t really say! I love both and I’m passionate and I work hard in both.

Are you working on any new music?
I have an album coming out next year called Until Then. A single will be released before year’s end. You’ll hear something soon.

We know that VH1’s Single Ladies has found a new home on Centric TV. Can we expect to see you in the new season?
We’ll see! Stay tuned! But I’m glad everybody loved Felicia [Price]. Well, not everybody, but I’m glad to see people took to [my character] well. I was kind of scared at first, you know. I didn’t want people to think I was really mean, but you know, I was doing my job. I was acting. and a lot of people thought she was funny, and awesome, and confident. That’s all I can ask for — that people appreciate my work.

Speak of work, are you working on any more movies?
Yes! As a matter of fact I’ll be in Season of Love, which will actually be Taraji P. Henson’s producer debut on Lifetime. It’ll be on November 23 or 27, so everyone can set that date.

Beyonce Knowles Manages To Find The Perfect Swimsuit

AOL.com:
Beyonce manages to support her husband Jay Z and flawlessly flaunt her curves, all in the same photo.

The Queen B posted a pic of herself posed in a thigh-gap-baring shirt dress-turned-swimsuit, designed by The Laundry Room, with revised lyrics to Jay's hit rap song "99 Problems". The message reads: "99 problems but my a** ain't one."

This photo comes on the heels of Beyonce's big announcement that she'sreleasing a box set on Nov. 24 that will include two new songs and a few remixes of her other hit. The new songs are titled "7/11" and "Ring Off", while the four unreleased remixes include collaborators Nicki Minaj ("Flawless"), Kanye West ("Drunk In Love"), Pharrell Williams ("Blow") and Mr. Vegas ("Standing on the Sun").

Though she wasn't in attendance, Beyonce picked up an award at Sunday night's MTV European Music Awards. The 33-year-old diva's track "Pretty Hurts" won for Best Song with a Message.
Prior to this racy swimsuit photo, Beyonce's body went under fire when the blogosphere accused her of Photoshopping a thigh gap in her bikini pics. She fought back by sharing a Photoshop-free photo.

Beyonce Knowles Sued by Background Singer Who Claims She Ripped Off ‘XO’

PopCrush.com:
Is Beyonce‘s ‘XO’ a rip-off of Ahmad Javon Lane’s ‘XOXO’? That’s what the background singer is reportedly claiming in a new lawsuit.

TMZ says that Lane is suing Queen Bey for a cool $3 million, claiming that she stole his song ‘XOXO’ and copied it for her own hit. And as for how his song would have been on Beyonce’s radar, apparently he shared it with a singer who does background vocals for the superstar.

While the lawsuit may be a blow to Beyonce, we know she’s holding her head up high and focusing on all of the crazy exciting things in her future, like the release of her platinum edition ‘Beyonce’ box set and her athletic wear line with Topshop. We know that we’re insanely psyched, anyway!

Kelly Rowland Talks Pregnancy, New Album and Working With Producer Tokimonsta

TheFader.com:
"Girl, any day now," sighs Kelly Rowland down the phone from LA in reply to the most obvious of questions. "I feel like I've been pregnant forever." Not that that's slamming any breaks on the Houston-raised singer-songwriter's creative pursuits—she's in the middle of recording her new album, the follow-up to 2013's Talk A Good Game, and words like "creative energy," "new blood" and "refreshing" trip off her tongue at quite a pace. If there's a peppier-than-usual tang to Rowland's flow it's due in no small part to a new working relationship with LA electronic producer Tokimonsta. The pair were tweeting at each other this summer, dropping hints of a forthcoming collaboration that—if Tokimonsta's seamlessly undulating, strobe-lit productions are anything to go by—may well see Rowland venturing even further into the dance music realm. Here, the down-to-earth superstar shares her thoughts on what it takes to be an artist, and why she's hyped to finally have a woman behind the control desk again.

How did you start working with Tokimonsta? I heard different mixes when I was out and then, when we finally got a chance to meet up, we talked about doing a project together. It was organic, really, the way it happened. I like to do things like things that, I don't like for anything to be forced. It was really easy—she was super cool. I loved her style, and I love everything about her style of DJ-ing, the way she makes music, how she puts different rhythms and beats and melodies together. I just felt like it could be something special.

It feels like you've really embraced dance music over the last couple of years. Has that been a natural progression, or have you been reaching out to it? I think that spending a lot of time in Europe—and just in different countries, period—allows you the opportunity to hear all these different types of beats. Sometimes you really want to try it and everybody around you will think that you're crazy for wanting to try it, you know what I mean? [Laughs] "You're bugging, you're on some musicianship thing." But I think there's nothing wrong with that. I think that that's really being an artist: being creative and trying new things, and seeing what works and what doesn't. It's just that simple. When I like something I gravitate towards it. I want to try it.

When is your collaboration with Tokimonsta coming out? We're still working on it. We want to pinpoint everything to make sure it's all right. That's all we really care about: it being a moment. It's always about creating moments, especially because there's so much freedom now in music. I feel like there are no rules.

Have you ever worked with a female producer before? It was years ago. That's another thing that excites me: the fact that [Tokimonsta] is a female. It's so empowering. When I watched her spin, I was like, this is crazy, I am loving this right now. She was so in control. It was about the confidence that she exuded in everything that she played, and how she just knew it was dope.

We need that. Yes, I think other young females should see that. Other young people should see that it's not just a male-dominated situation.

Beyonce Knowles Dresses As Late Mexican Artist Frida Khalo. For Halloween

USmagazine.com:
Beyonce is known for her artistry, but on Halloween, she took it to the next level, dressing up as famed Mexican painter Frida Kahlo at a party at Charlie Bird in NYC.

Though she didn't give herself a unibrow, the "Flawless" singer, 33, did match one of Kahlo's most iconic looks perfectly in a blue printed dress with a colorful flower crown.

Kahlo, the wife of fellow painter Diego Rivera, was best known for her slightly surreal self portraits. She died at age 47 in 1954, but endured as a feminist icon to many, including Madonna and Salma Hayek, who played her in a 2002 biopic.

Beyonce Knowles & Jay Z: Couple Renew Their Wedding Vows

HollywoodLife.com:
Rumors had been running wild for months that Beyoncé, 33, and Jay Z, 44, would be splitting up after their On the Run tour wrapped in mid-September, but they proved everyone wrong by reportedly saying their “I dos” a second time while traveling Europe. Good for them — Bey and Jay have every reason to celebrate their six years of marriage!

The famous parents of Blue Ivy, 2, have been putting on a united front as they jet set to European cities like Paris and London for some hard-earn R&R.

Bey and Jay were on the go nonstop during their On the Run tour and they seem to have survived their reported trouble in paradise.

The couple even renewed their vowels while traveling Europe, according to People magazine. So romantic!

Beyoncé Knowles Fans Lash Out At Designer Michael Costello Over Alleged Racial Slur

EurWeb.com:
*Although he’s known for outfitting some of the best known black female celebrities, Michael Costello is not getting any love from Beyoncé fans after he allegedly used a racial slur while responding to a situation with an up-and-coming designer.
The drama stems from a payment given to designer Maxine James from Costello’s partner Stephanie Costello for one of her dresses two weeks ago.
James’ excitement over being noticed and compensated by Costello turned cold after she saw her dress posted on the Mtcostello Instagram page without any credit given to her. Adding to that was that the dress was featured on the page as if it was a Costello creation.
James reacted to the situation on Instagram as she wondered why someone like Costello would resort to stealing someone else’s creation.
“It’s so disheartening I couldn’t help but shed a tear… Him as a designer should know first hand how heart breaking it is for ppl to take something you worked so hard on …..It’s like why? Who does that? I mean we ALL get inspired from some where but it is completely unfair to take someone’s EXACT design and EXACT dress at that and claim it as your own….,” wrote James. “@michaelcostello You are already a well known designer you design dresses for TOP celebrities… Why would you do something so low? I put so much into my brand … I eat sleep breath it… I paid for so many mistakes while making this design I went through so much to make it perfect …for it to fit perfectly… patterns..grading …cut… Production …photo shoots ALL OF THAT and you literally take my EXACT DRESS and claim it as your own … I tried to reach out to you and you block me ? Like seriously … It’s extremely disheartening I TRUELY did look up to you as a designer…you were one of my favorites….I hope this lasts you for a life time … because God will never continue to bless someone who does evil malicious things like this…. Period”
James’ post immediately resulted in a slew of responses directed to Costello’s Instagram, asking why he would steal the young designer’s work. Costello apparently got so fed up with questions that he posted a response to one of the people, calling the person a “n—er” while making sure his experience with Beyoncé’s was known.
“Your just probably a dumb n—er defending her,” the former “Project Runway” constestant allegedly posted. “I am royalty b—h! I dressed Beyoncé! Who are they gonna believe!”

LeToya Luckett Talks Issues With Celebrity and Putting Acting Career Into Existence

LeToya Luckett is going to star in three films within the next few months and is gearing up for at least one television show, but the Christian singer and actress insists that she still struggles with being a celebrity.
It's been close to 15 years since Luckett, 33, sang alongside her childhood friends Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and LaTavia Roberson in the hit R&B group Destiny's Child that propelled her fame. After leaving the group in 2000, Luckett hasn't slowed down with two solo albums under her belt and a consistent career as a working actress where she has secured roles in at least nine film projects since her 2010 debut in the film, "Preacher's Kid."
Despite a smooth transition from being a known singer to actress, the real life daughter of a minister insists she struggles with being famous."
It doesn't get easier when you're trying to work your way up that ladder. It actually sometimes can be more difficult because of people pressure, because of people's opinions,"Luckett told The Christian Post. "Some people try to bring you down instead of lift you up because unfortunately that's kind of the world we live in. A lot of people like to see the bad, because they feel the bad is more entertaining than the good."
Still, Luckett makes sure she is not defining herself by the opinions of others.
"I serve a major God who definitely has the last say on my life. Being an actress and a singer, you get more 'no's' than you get 'yes'," Luckett told CP. "You get more rejection than you do anything else."
In an industry where many veteran actresses have a hard time securing consistent roles, Luckett credits the grace of God and her "great team" for helping her transition from singing to acting, which began with the film "Preacher's Kid" in 2010. While she recently appeared on UP network's "Heavenly Match" and is gearing up to star in "Drumline 2: A New Beat" and "Seasons of Love," before the year ends, roles do not just fall into Luckett's lap.
She continues to delve into her craft by studying with her acting coach, taking classes, reading and watching films. Luckett also makes sure to take her faith with her into each audition.
"I'm still going through those auditions and I always pray before I go in," she told CP. "I leave it in His hands. I say if this role is for me than even I can't go in this room and mess it up, it will be for me. And that's just how I continue to do things."

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z Party It Up with Adele in London

LoveBScott.com:
Beyoncé and Jay Z are still enjoying some time across the pond.

Last night, the couple hit up Harry’s Restaurant and Bar in Mayfair and called Adele to come out and have some fun.

Does this mean there’s a Beyoncé/Adele collaboration in the works? Adele hasn’t hidden the fact that she’s a huge fan of Bey — and Bey’s made no secret of the fact she’s a big fan of Adele as well.

We don’t see Adele out and about very often…but when you get that “Hey girl, come through!” text from Beyoncé ….you come through.

They all arrived and departed separately.

Beyonce Knowles' Publicist Talks Destiny's Child's Early Days

VIBE.com:
Before Destiny's Child became one of the biggest girl group's of all time, they were just four girls from Houston with thick accents eager to make their musical mark.

Publicist to the stars, Yvette Noel-Schure--who has worked with everyone from Mariah Carey and currently works with Beyonce--opened up about Destiny's Child's early days. Schure said that while TLC had already solidified their success, as well as En Vogue, Columbia simply didn't know what to do with the teenage group.

"I knew in that moment that he did not know what the capacity for success would be for this girl group. TLC was so big, En Vogue a little older and killing it vocally and I don’t know if the plan was to set in place. I believe in that moment, Larry Jenkins said, ‘If nothing comes of this, Yvette can teach them a few things and I don’t know that he expected me to be a great publicist to this great group. I think he thought ‘For as long as we have them on the label, Yvette can be a mother figure.”

Schure also goes onto say that while she worked her publicity magic, she also helped show them how to conduct themselves in the public eye.

"There wasn’t a lot I could teach those girls, they could sing the ‘ABC’s’ and make me look like … but it was about ‘Here’s how I live my life,’ ‘Here’s how I come to work and I work really, really hard.’ I can not teach you how to sing but I will tell you that when you enter the room, your interview has begun. Everything is on the record, what you say, what you did, if you were slumping in your chair — so don’t slump in your chair because that’s going to be part of the description in the interview.”

Well, we all know Beyonce is one poised chick, so it looks like Queen Bey definitely took what Yvette said to heart.

Reports Mount Over Jay Z and Beyoncé Knowles 'Top Secret' Surprise Album

TheGuardian.com:
Reports are mounting that Jay Z and Beyoncé are working on a “top secret” collaboration album. Following the success of this year’s On the Run joint tour, the most famous couple in music are said to be recording their first full-length team-up for release between now and early 2015.

On Wednesday 8 October, the New York Post’s Page Six posted a new report claiming that Beyoncé and Jay Z are “secretly recording ... a surprise album”, to be accompanied by “simultaneous videos and even a movie”. This would follow the same promotional strategy as Beyoncé’s self-released LP last December: “no advance promotion, marketing or fanfare”.

The Post’s sources mirror an earlier report by DJ Skee, one of hip-hop’s best-connected radio DJs. “The biggest couple in music, maybe entertainment, maybe the world ... they’re working on an album together,” Skee declared in mid-September. “You know who I’m talking about: Jay Z and Beyoncé.” Skee said he had “confirmed” the news with “a couple sources”. “This secret would top [everything] – even that new U2 album,” he said.

Jay Z and Beyoncé finished their stadium tour on 13 September. They played 21 dates and ticket sales grossed almost $100m. Despite ending the tour in France, they haven’t rushed home to the United States: Paris is where the pair got engaged and, Jay Z revealed on stage, “where baby Blue was conceived”. They have been spotted repeatedly across the city – visiting the Louvre, shopping for real estate near Elysée Palace – fuelling speculation that they are also undertaking recording sessions.

While this would be Jay Z and Beyoncé’s first full-length collaboration, their past team-ups include four UK top 10 singles: ’03 Bonnie & Clyde, from 2002; Crazy in Love from 2003; Déjà Vu from 2006; and last year’s hit, Drunk in Love. They have been married since 2008.

Kelly Rowland Looks Absolutely Stunning In New ELLE Shoot

LoveBScott.com:
We’ve seen dozens of maternity photo shoots, but Kelly Rowland may have just won them all with a stunning spread for ELLE magazine.

Kelly proudly shows off her growing tummy in a series of photos taken by actor/photographer Lance Gross and she looks absolutely amazing.

On the eve of her labor date, she sat down with ELLE and talked about her pregnancy, working with Lance and Donna Summer.

Here are a few excerpts:

You’ve become quite a role model for staying fit during pregnancy. What tips would you give for other mothers who want to stay healthy and in shape while pregnant?

Everybody always tells you to go crazy with food, and you can eat whatever you want. It’s fine to have your cravings but I wanted an easier delivery. All the women that I’ve talked to, that have worked out, have such an easy and speedy delivery. Exercise really helps that. And I like being able to have peaceful sleep at night, though there’s no such thing as that now in the last trimester [laughs]. To be honest, I did modify my exercise routine a bit by just listening to my body. I would tell my trainer [Jeanette Jenkins] “This move doesn’t feel right,” and we’d modify it. I still walk two miles everyday. I still work out. It’s important to me.

Any cravings?
I love cherry pie and chocolate ice cream with peanut butter mixed in it. And I had a week straight where I was obsessed with nachos.

Your skin is glowing! What’s your pregnancy beauty regimen?
I’ve switched out anything with harsh chemicals. I use nothing but shea butter, pure cocoa butter and coconut oil. It’s amazing how all of those things work so well for my skin. I’m going to continue to just use those after the baby gets here.

What kind of celebrity mom will you be? Would you take your son to award shows or fashion shows?
I just plan to play it by ear. Everybody has their normal. And sometimes, award shows are a part of that. I have girlfriends who have that experience, and they’ll say ‘You know, I just really didn’t want to be without my child today.’ And it’s just that simple. It’s about finding your normal, whatever that may be.

Tell us about your photo shoot with Lance Gross. What was the experience like? What was your vision for the shoot?
I had a chance to work with Lance Gross during a video shoot for the ["Here I Am"] album, and I remember looking at his Instagram page, and seeing all these crazy hot photos. I texted him, and he said he’s really been into [photography]. So we had been planning for a year to shoot and of course, I got pregnant and thought I’ll have Lance shoot the photos for my pregnancy. Lance and I had all these great ideas and we just put our heads together to execute the looks. It was a lot of fun.

Some pregnant women get flack for nude photos. Why was it important to you to include those in the shoot?
I don’t know why they would get flack. It’s really—I won’t say amazing—it’s Godmazing [laughs] watching your body carry a human. I took a birthing class and I was amazed by all the things this woman was saying to me about birthing and what the body does naturally. Why wouldn’t you want to celebrate that? The body should be celebrated.

Speaking of Donna Summer, you posted a picture on Instagram where you look just like her! Are the rumors that you might play her in an upcoming biopic true?
All these rumors! I was just with my glam squad, we were having fun and we saw this beautiful picture of a Donna Summer record. I was like ‘let’s try to do this look!’ I love Donna Summer. I love how she’s this sex goddess, and she’s so beautiful and powerful onstage. So we mocked up a cover and I posted a picture. That’s all it was! But it would be an amazing opportunity to play her.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that you do! What projects do you have coming up?
I go in the studio next week! I have a new watch with TW Steel called ‘Canteen’ which is casual, but still stylish. And because I’ve been shopping for this little one, and it’s so hard to find stuff for boys, I’m intrigued to do a children’s line.

Pregnant Kelly Rowland Cradles Baby Bump As Due Date Gets Nearer

OKmagazine.com:
KELLY Rowland is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first child.

Beyoncé's former band mate – who announced her pregnancy in June – is fast approaching her due date.

As she patiently awaits the big day, Kelly has shared a tender snap of herself and her growing bump.

The one-time Destiny's Child star is pictured wearing a form-fitting black jumpsuit, denim jacket and fedora hat in a shot posted on her Instagram page today.

The unassuming mum-to-be is seen cradling her compact tummy with one hand as she looks to her left.
Kelly left the image caption less.

In July, the 33-year-old accidentally let slip she's expecting a baby boy with husband Tim Witherspoon.

"I just feel like the baby is already rotten–like literally, my Caress family has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys – it’s just so cool," she said in an interview.

Adding: "It, it's… aw, f**k it. It's a boy. It's a boy!"

Kelly Rowland To Play Donna Summer?

NewsOne.com:
A photo that singer Kelly Rowland posted to Instagram recently has tongues wagging that she might be up to play Donna Summer in an upcoming biopic. The Root has the story:
Rumors are circulating that former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland is vying for the role of Donna Summer in the Spike Lee-directed film Spinning Gold. The biopic chronicles the life of Casablanca Records founder Neil Bogart, whose talents took him from being a poor kid from Brooklyn, N.Y., to launching the career of Summer, as well as those of Kiss, Joan Jett and the Village People. Pop singer Justin Timberlake will take on the role of Bogart.
Rowland, who is pregnant with her first child, posted an Instagram photo reminiscent of Summer’s 1970s look. Rowland captioned the photo: #tbt #DonnaSummer-ish #LovetoLoveYa.
Well, it’s pretty clear that Rowland has Summers’ looks down but do you think she’s ready to play the late Disco diva?

Beyonce Knowles Poses Nude While Pregnant Alongside Jay Z in Home Videos For On the Run Tour

USmagazine.com:
Any questions? Beyonce’s pregnancy with daughter Blue Ivy Carter, now 2,  has frequently been questioned by conspiracy theorists who claimed the pop diva faked her baby bump and used a surrogate or other means. But during her On the Run Tour HBO special, Bey, 33, silenced the critics when she aired some personal home videos.
The Bonnie and Clyde theme of the joint tour featured cinematic video backdrops with the caption “This Is Not Real Life,” but when it came to the final duet of the night in their Paris, France concert, the mood shifted. Flashing “This Is Real Life” on the giant screens, the power couple proceeded to turn toward the screens singing a mashup of Jay Z’s take on Alphaville’s 1984 hit “Forever Young” and Beyonce’s emotional 2008 anthem “Halo.”
While the couple performed, home videos came up on the screen from when they first started dating back in 2002, to their 2008 wedding, to Beyonce’s pregnancy, to Blue Ivy’s first moments.

Showing off her bare, pregnant belly, Bey revealed never-before-seen footage of her posing nude, with her arm covering her chest as her rapper hubby hugged her, holding her tummy from behind.

Beyonce Knowles Has Another Brother

TheUrbanDaily.com:
Apparently Mathew Knowles aka Beyonce and Solange‘s father is also a father to not one but TWO other kids! According to TMZ, the latest paternity test proved that there was a DNA match with another little kid in Houston!

TMZ obtained a copy of the paternity test ordered by a judge in Houston after Knowles was sued by a lingerie-model-turned-real-estate agent who said he got her pregnant in 2010.

The DNA test is said to be  99.998% conclusive! Whether he likes it or not, he and TaQoya Branscomb have a child together.

So, of course, now Branscom is going to be asking him to pay her bills, bills, bills! However, she might not want to give up being an Independent Woman just yet. He doesn’t appear to have quite as much money for TaQoya as she may have hoped.

Since he stopped managing Beyonce, times haven’t been so good financially. Woops!

Beyonce Knowles Accused of Photoshopping Her Bikini Photos...Again

EOnline.com:
Beyoncé is once again being accused of editing her body in her own photos.

The singer's latest snafu appears to be in one of the pics of her walking down a staircase in a bikini while aboard a yacht last week.

There's no question that Bey's body is on point regardless of any Photoshop magic, but if you look closely enough, you can see that one of the stairs is tilted.

Which only begs the question: Did Bey really edit her inner thigh in the snapshot? And if so, why?!
This isn't the first time that she's landed in the headlines for touching up her personal pics.

Earlier this summer, Yoncé's thigh seemed slimmed down in an image of herself enjoying some downtime with Jay Z.

Members of the Bey Hive immediately noticed that her cellphone, which was front and center in the shot, seemed curved on one of the sides.

And several months before that, the "Drunk in Love" singer was accused of widening her thigh gap in an image of her golfing in a bikini.

Of course, Bey and her camp have yet to address the speculation, but the singer continues to proudly post photos of herself in an array of revealing outfits from all different angles.

Michelle Williams Talks New Album, Destiny's Child and Judge Judy over Doughnuts

ChicagoTribune.com:
Michelle Williams was searching for CNN on the TV Friday afternoon in her suite at the Hard Rock Hotel, more than 20 floors up from where she hosted her album release party the previous night. The 34-year-old singer and Rockford native wanted to check in on a news story that had just broken before leaving the room. It turns out Williams is a self-proclaimed “newsie.” She talks of news in the same manner some might talk about gossip, relaying the juicy details and her theories on what transpired.

“It’s probably not healthy,” said Williams of her obsession.

This may explain, in part, why she’s drawn to real-life-crime and courtroom programming. She calls the syndicated “Judge Judy” a guilty pleasure and raves about A&E’s “The First 48.” The latter is a docu-series that features homicide investigators attempting to solve a murder, generally in the first 48 hours that follow.

“My major in college was criminal justice,” said Williams, who left Illinois State after her sophomore year to pursue music, as she put on her high-top sneakers. “Before I got in Destiny’s Child, a couple days before we were supposed to shoot the ‘Say My Name’ video, or the day before, I had an appointment to go to the coroner’s office to see an autopsy. I still have it on my bucket list even though I’m scared of death and will probably sleep with the lights on after I see the autopsy.

“So, we ready to go to this spot?”

The spot, in this case, was Glazed and Infused. Williams had heard good things about the doughnut shop and wanted to check it out. She was dressed in jeans and a “Yassss Jesus Yassss” T-shirt that showed off her figure.

During our half-mile walk, I told Williams that she didn’t look like the doughnut-eating type — unsure how she would take the comment. “Please. I eat everything,” Williams said. “I think it’s because my dad used to bring doughnuts home all the time. And on Sunday mornings, my mother would get us up for church by going and getting these amazing doughnuts and orange juice. It worked.”

Williams took a seat with the box of doughnuts we had ordered at the outside window. She opened the box but resisted the urge to dig in right away. First she wanted to snap photos with her smart phone.

“Take that, iCloud. Hack my phone and you’ll see doughnuts,” Williams said, a reference to the recent scandal over celebrity nude-photo hacking.
Williams, who said she plans on selling her Illinois home because she spends most of the year in Los Angeles, was raised Pentecostal and remains active in the church. Of the four solo albums she’s released, three fall in the gospel category — including “Journey to Freedom,” scheduled to hit stores Tuesday. It’s her first album since releasing 2008’s “Unexpected,” her lone secular album to date.

“Journey to Freedom” features the single “Say Yes,” which reunited her with Destiny’s Child bandmates Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland. The song has succeeded on the gospel charts, but the mainstream charts have been harder to crack, despite the dance track’s catchy chorus and star power. The reason? Maybe the religious message (the chorus is “When Jesus say yes, nobody can say no”) turned off some listeners and radio stations.

Williams hasn’t let that deter her from releasing faith-inspired music. She knows this is exactly where she’s supposed to be.

“I know for me, my calling is to inspire through my music,” said Williams, a maple bacon long john in hand and a chocolate milk in front of her. “I know what my message content is supposed to be. Nobody wants to see me twirling from a pole. Nobody wants me to do the booty dance. I’m supposed to inspire and encourage and have fun while I do it.”

Mathew Knowles: There 'Might' Be a New Destiny's Child Album

BET.com:
Now that those wild rumors about' Jay Z's and Beyoncé's marriage can be put to rest, Papa Knowles is hinting at a possible reunion between his daughter and her Destiny's Child sisters.

"Folks don't know it, but I am still the manager of Destiny's Child," Mathew Knowles said in a chat with The Roula and Ryan Show. "When you see Destiny's Child on TV and you see them doing songs together slowly, it might be another Destiny's Child album coming."

Although the group officially disbanded and Kelly's currently preggers, earlier this summer, Michelle somewhat quietly dropped "Say Yes," a song featuring both Kelly and Beyoncé.

"There might be this tour that makes history," he continued. "Can you imagine what that would be like?"

He also continued to plug his teaching seminars on Communications and the Music Industry, and candidly addressed all things Beyoncé, like her seductive 2014 Grammy Awards performance of "Drunk in Love."

"It was the very first time I've ever watched Beyoncé as a dad and I just boo-hoo cried because I've never watched her from the headset of a dad," he said.

He had the opposite reaction to the viral elevator incident. "It's called the jedi mind trick," he said about it, laughing hysterically. "Everybody's talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange's album sales went up 200 percent."

Mathew wrapped up the convo with a nod to his relationship with megastar Bey. Though it has been reported over the past few years that the two are estranged, the Music World executive says otherwise, even stating that they talk quite frequently.

"She's still just my girl," he said. "We talk every Sunday. She's still the humble, generous person she's always been."
