Some of the greatest collaborations are the most surprising ones, right? We have a couple lists dedicated to the topic, a few just for individual artists like Big Sean and Ariana Grande. So when we heard that up-and-coming teen sensation Jacob Whitesides enlisted the legend Kelly Rowland for his latest track, we knew it was going to be awesome.
For those unfamiliar with Whitesides: Not only is he dating the one and only Bea Miller, but he makes music in the tradition of Shawn Mendes and Ed Sheeran. You'll fall in love with him the same way Ms. Rowland did with their collabo "I Know What You Did Last Summer."
The song is shimmery and sweet. Whitesides busts out his best croons; the tune feels a bit more R&B than his regular recordings. He sings, "I know what we did last summer / You won't let me forget it," to which Kelly replies, "How you gonna do that to me?"
