NBC Wants Beyonce Knowles for The Wiz (But there is no deal)

NBC’s The Wiz Live! is lining up an impressive cast of star talent, but reports claiming Beyoncé is likely on board are not currently true. Multiple outlets are reporting that Queen B could play Glinda the Good Witch.

Our sources say Beyoncé has actually passed twice on playing Glinda. But there’s always a chance that NBC might circle back with another offer. Until the Glinda role is filled, anything’s possible. But as of now, Beyoncé is not frolicking with Munchkins in December. 

On Tuesday, EW exclusively broke that Queen Latifah and Mary J. Blige were joining the live production to play The Wiz and the Wicked Witch of the West, respectively. 

Solange Knowles Had 'Dream Job' as Destiny's Child Backing Dancer

The 29-year-old performer spent her teenage years dancing with her sister Beyonce's girl group and admits it was her ''dream job'' and she'd love to relive those days.

She told LOOK magazine: ''Being a backing dancer for Destiny's Child was honestly a dream job. Sometimes I'm like, 'that would be fun again'.''

Solange is currently working hard on her own album and is looking forward to completing the record so she can take some time off.

She said: ''I've just been to Moscow and Stockholm. I could sleep for days but it's OK - I'm doing what I love.

''I have a month left to work on my album and then I'm going to take a long break.''

The star topped off the look with a classic white blazer, strappy nude sandals, and a nude, polished, exposed-seam Dannijo "Lypton" handbag. The stunning songstress kept her makeup natural and wore her hair in breezy, blonde curls, parted on the side.

Bey was accompanied by her husband of seven years, Jay Z — dressed much more casually in a gray T-shirt and light jeans — for a romantic date night in NYC.

The couple — who have been spending a lot of quality time together, including an incognito appearance at a U2 concert on Friday, July 24 — has much to celebrate as Beyonce is nominated for five awards at the MTV VMAs, which airs on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Kelly Rowland To Start Her Own Show To Find The Next Destiny’s Child

It has been revealed that Kelly Rowland will soon be looking for the next Destiny’s Child in a new reality TV show called Chasing Destiny.

The former Destiny’s Child member has previous experience as a reality TV judge after appearing on both the UK and US versions of the X Factor so this should put her in good stead for her own show. Kelly has also expressed her personal desire to help improve pop music.

She said: "I think each generation should be better than the last, and I really want to put together a group. I feel there's one just out there waiting to be discovered, and I want to be the one to do it.

"There were the Supremes, there was En Vogue, there was Destiny's Child - each generation has had a group to grow with them, and I want that for this next generation."

She went on to reveal that it was her former Destiny’s Child band mates that encouraged her to take on this project and she wants to instil the same feeling of sisterhood that the group enjoyed during their time together.

She wore the casual top - designed as part of Beyonce's charity movement, which raises funds for sick and disadvantaged children in Haiti - while she shopped with a close pal, as she held a well-behaved Titan in her arms.

Like her former groupmates, Williams has basically been performing her whole life. She showcased her talent singing hymns at her church and gospel groups as a kid. However, Williams briefly decided to pursue a career in criminal justice before dedicating herself full-time to singing.

The singer joined Destiny’s Child as a replacement member in 2000. LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson split after money-related turmoil. Williams and Farrah Franklin made their announcement as official Destiny’s Child members with their appearance in the “Say My Name” video. Franklin was dropped after five months of being absent, so Williams, Kelly Rowland and Beyonce became the final trio and most famous lineup. They went on to release the quadruple platinum-selling LP Survivor, a gold-selling Christmas album and the triple platinum release Destiny:Fulfilled, their final project.

Beyonce would become the Beyonce we all worship with 2003′s “Crazy in Love.” Kelly Rowland found her success, too, with singles like the Nelly collaboration “Dilemma” and “Motivation.” Williams went the less secular route; Heart of Love, her first solo album, was a contemporary gospel album. The debut and her following four albums failed to go gold. It was struggles like that and supposedly getting shaded in multiple Destiny’s Child pictures that led to the #PoorMichelle trending topic.

Williams has actually been doing well, though. She starred in the Tony-nominated musical Fela! and recently performed for the First Family at the White House.

While she's been styling and strutting IRL and on Instagram, Beyoncé has been quiet on the music front. Is she working on a new album on the low? Artists, from Future, Mike Will Made-It to Bone Thugs N-Harmony, have hinted at collaborating with Beyoncé with Instagram photos and press interviews. Whether it's to "continue to be creative and make songs" (as Future said) or to create a follow-up to her 2013 self-titled album, we'll take it. We did some digging, and below is everything we've gathered about new music from Beyoncé. (And, we'll be sure ot update if more hints are dropped.)

During his interview with Power 105's Breakfast Club this week, Future mentioned that he was at Jay Z's "crib," "actually working with Bey'."

Producer Deputy told That Grape Juice that he's working with a handful of U.K. and U.S. artists, and one of the artists he mentioned was Beyoncé. He continued to say that he recorded song, sent it to Bey' and "she liked it."

D.R.A.M. -- who stole Bey's heart with his catchy hit "Cha Cha"-- was seen in the studio with her on July 9.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's Bizzy Bone took to Instagram to alert fans that "Beyoncé wanna work with the band."

It is also about representing whom you work for."

Greenberg dished that "it is a cool experience to learn from [Beyoncé] and curate my taste along with hers because she is quite the style icon." You can say that again!

And traipsing around the globe alongside one of the world's most famous singers means that Greenberg has to keep up with the hectic, non-stop pace.

"I definitely don't wear heels most of the time, because I'm always on my feet and running around. I try to stick to really cool flats and sneakers…Especially being in New York City, it's nice to have something comfortable," she explained.

Kelly Rowland will appear on the hit FOX show this fall, a source told E! News exclusively on Saturday, the Fourth of July, at the 2015 Essence Festival in New Orleans. The 34-year-old R&B singer will play Lucious Lyon's mother in a flashback.

During season 1, Empire often featured scenes from Terrence Howard's character's past, which shows and his feisty now-ex-wife Cookie Lyon, played by Taraji P. Henson, during harder times before they built their powerful music empire.

Last month, Rowland hung out with Empire screenwriters, sparking speculation she may make an appearance on the show.

For, despite sharing morsels of new music since 2009’s sophomore effort ‘Lady Love,’ the Destiny’s Child original has been balancing the recording of her third LP with an endless stream of TV work.

And while the latter is still a focus (as evidenced by her current roles on ‘Single Ladies’ and HBO’s ‘Ballers’), the ‘Torn’ singer is gearing up to push ahead full-speed with the eagerly awaited album – which has a tentative title ‘Until Then…’
