Beyonce Knowles Performed at MTV VMA Awards

EW.com:
The queen has arrived at the VMAs.

As the white carpet outside New York’s Madison Square Garden opened up on Sunday night before the MTV Video Music Awards, Beyoncé arrived to the delight of social media users and photographers on the carpet.

The Lemonade singer was announced as an official performer at the ceremony earlier on Sunday, ending speculation that she would make a surprise appearance during the show.

Beyoncé was joined on the carpet by daughter Blue Ivy, as well Winnie Harlow and Chloe and Halle, all of whom appeared on the Lemonade visual album. The mothers of Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, and Oscar Grant – four black men shot and killed by law enforcement officials (or in the case of Martin, a neighborhood watch coordinator) – attended with the singer as well.

Beyoncé will perform at the ceremony alongside Britney Spears, Rihanna, Kanye West, Future, and more. Her album Lemonade grabbed 11 total nominations, the most of her career and tops for the night.
