Beyoncé has been facing a ridiculous level of backlash from white conservatives over her hit track "Formation" and accompanying video, which only serves to prove her point that "you know you that b***h when you cause all this conversation." The media has run itself ragged churning out think pieces about the messages behind the unabashedly pro-Black song and video, and the feathers it's ruffled among the white establishment.
But Kelly Rowland isn't interested in all that talk — instead, she has a very simple message for the haters, particularly former New York mayor Rudy Guiliani, who said that Bey's super-woke Super Bowl 50 performance gave people a "platform to attack police officers."
“I think that we live in a country where you have the freedom to say how you feel and talk,” she said at a pre-Grammy party on Friday. “And it’s really from a peaceful place. I think that they’re blowing it out of proportion.” She then added, “Giuliani should just shut up.”
Tell 'em, Kelly!
Beyoncé has kept quiet on the criticism thus far, letting her art do the talking, but it is great to see that those who know her best are coming out in support of her message.

Garage Magazine Puts Beyonce Knowles On 1st Cover Featuring a Non-Model
People.com:
50 shades of Bey!
Beyoncé debuted a new look, and a couple of options, for her photo shoot with Garage Magazine.
On the cover, Queen Bey is surrounded in hues of blue as she looks over her shoulder, staring seductively into the lens, wearing her blonde locks in cornrows, and a fresh face, featuring minimal makeup. The “Formation” singer also flaunts some new piercings — although it’s not clear if they’re real — as a line of hoops go up her ear.
In other variations of the cover shot, the mother of one, 34, is seen with a frame of orange, red, and yellow, circling her face.
The cover art is collaboration between the superstar singer, and world-renowned artist Urs Fischer, and offers a sneak peek into what the magazine describes as an “interactive feature [that] will include exclusive words and images from Beyoncé herself.”
The March issue is currently available for pre-sale, but won’t hit news stands until March 14.

Kelly Rowland's 35th birthday party was "Jumpin', Jumpin'"!

Sure, the ladies have been busy pursuing their solo careers, but judging by their adorable photo booth snaps, you'd never guess their bond has changed since they got "Bootylicious" in 2001.
Rowland shared a handful of images via Instagram on Sunday, showing the musicians striking poses together and Rowland getting cute with Williams.

The NYPD Is Willing to Protect Beyoncé Knowles Under One Condition
BET.com:
In your Saturday edition of "get a life," the New York Police Department is apparently bothered by Beyoncé's Super Bowl 50 Halftime show performance, so much so that they're offering the pop star safety in exchange for an apology.
You read that right. According to TMZ, the NYPD wants the "Formation" singer to publicly explain that her pro-Black halftime performance was not an attack on cops.
"Our NYPD sources admit they don't believe Beyoncé was advocating hostility toward police in her homage to the Black Panthers," a statement on the department's site reads. "Problem is... they say that's the way it came across for millions of viewers."
Cops are reportedly not happy and don't want Queen Bey to "promote violence," but are willing to protect her once she explains why she chose that particular treatment for her performance.
According to Pix11, Ed Mullins, the President of New York's Sergeants Benevolent Association wants Bey to stop painting the police as villains: "Law enforcement across the country has to make a statement that we're not bad guys and she's got to stop portraying us as bad guys."

Beyoncé Knowles Is NOT “Re-Hiring” Father Mathew Knowles As Manager, Despite Report
GossipCop.com:
Beyoncé is NOT “re-hiring” her father Mathew Knowles as her manager, despite a report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told there’s absolutely no validity to the story.
The allegation comes from the National Enquirer, which claims, “Mega-mogul Jay Z’s sensing a mega-chill in his marriage after Beyoncé suddenly shocked him — and the entire family — by hinting that she’s re-hiring estranged dad Mathew Knowles to manage her empire again.”
“Maybe THAT’S why Jay sent Wifey that whopping bouquet of 10,000 roses just before the Super Bowl,” the supermarket tabloid wrongly speculates. The outlet goes on to quote a so-called “Beyoncé spy,” who alleges, “Jay Z knew something was up when Beyoncé abruptly fired her entire management team, and he’s infuriated by news that Daddy’s back again — years after he’d persuaded her to dump his ass!”
The National Enquirer even encourages readers to “stay tuned,” and they should… to Gossip Cop. We’re assured by an impeccable insider close to Beyoncé and Jay Z that she is NOT hiring her dad to be her manager again. Our contact even sniped, “Look who the source is.”
No kidding. The disreputable gossip rag outrageously said last fall that Beyoncé and Jay Z’s supposed “sham marriage” was coming to an end, with the superstars on the verge of divorce. Of course, they remain happily together, and there’s 10,000 roses that prove it. Furthermore, Beyoncé has already hired a new management team, of which Knowles is not part.

Protesters Are Planning an Anti-Beyoncé Knowles Rally Outside NFL Headquarters on Feb. 16 Because of her Super Bowl Performance
NYDailyNews.com:
Beyoncé haters are ready to get in formation.Since when does being anti-police brutality mean that you're anti-police/ People really need their heads examined.
The anti-Beyhive is planning to protest the "Drunk in Love" singer outside of the NFL Headquarters in Manhattan on Feb. 16, the same day tickets for her “Formation” world tour goes on sale.
The “Run the World” artist faced criticism from politicians including former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Rep. Peter King (R-Long Island) for being “anti-police" following her halftime performance at Sunday's Super Bowl.
“Are you offended as an American that Beyonce pulled her race-baiting stunt at the Superbowl?” the event description said. “Do you agree that it was a slap in the face to law enforcement?”
The rally’s organizer is calling Beyoncé’s show “hate speech” and “racism” at the Super Bowl because of its references to the Black Panthers and Black Lives Matter.

LeToya Luckett Talks 'Here We Go Again' and New Music
Ebony.com:
With multiple film and television projects under her belt including Preacher’s Kid, Lucky Girl, VH1’s Single Ladies and HBO’s Ballers, LeToya Luckett’s acting career is on fire—and she’s just getting started.
Next up, LeToya takes on another role in TV One’s new multi-generational comedy series, Here We Go Again, as leading actress and producer. The half hour series follows Maddy (Luckett), a single mother and successful lawyer who is convinced there is a “Walker Woman Curse,” after being born to mother Loretta (Wendy Raquel Robinson) at age 16 and having a child, Shante (Kyndall Ferguson) herself at the same age. Maddy refuses to let her daughter, now approaching her 16th birthday, become the next in line.
While she’s on a professional high and enjoying her dating life, feelings resurface for her high school sweetheart/Shante’s father, Victor (Andra Fuller), on the night of their daughter’s birthday. After a moment of weakness, they have one more steamy night and at age 32, Maddy discovers she and Victor are expecting again.
When she isn’t flexing her acting chops, you can find LeToya working on her new album, which is slated to debut this year.
EBONY spoke with LeToya about finding her way in the acting industry, her upcoming album and working alongside bae, Rob Hill Sr., in Here We Go Again.
EBONY: Can you tell us about your character Maddy Walker?
LeToya Luckett: Maddy is an interesting character. She’s very possessive of her daughter Shante, and she doesn’t want her to go down the same path that she did. She wants Shante to have her own path and make moves in her own life. Maddy is a working woman, very well-to-do, smart, educated, funny and quirky. I think she’s just a beautiful human being who wants the best for her daughter. The relationship between Maddy and her mother is hilarious. It’s like they’re complete opposites but they’re a lot of the same. She’s a fun character to play and it was my first time playing in a real comedy. So just finding [“Maddy”] on set was a cool experience.
EBONY: This is kind of your first time taking lead in a comedic role. How did you prepare?
LeToya Luckett: It’s not easy! It’s crazy because I love watching comedies. It’s my favorite thing to watch and it always lifts my spirits. It looks easy when you’re watching it, but when it comes to hitting those beats, it can be difficult. You have to be very cautious that you’re hitting the right beats and making sure it’s funny, but at the same time when those notes are serious, you’re trying to get your point across and it’s not about the comedy. I learned so much from watching Wendy Raquel Robinson every day on set. I would also watch my favorite comedies like Modern Family, Friends, A Different World—all those good family comedies.

Beyoncé Knowles Fires Her Entire Management Team — Including Her Cousin
PageSix.com:
Beyoncé has parted ways with her longtime business manager and hired a new team to promote her career and land her more lucrative deals, Page Six has exclusively confirmed.
As the star prepares to perform with Coldplay at Sunday’s Super Bowl, we’ve learned that Beyoncé has split with her general manager of five years, Lee Anne Callahan-Longo.
Beyoncé is now working with Steve Pamon, who was JPMorgan Chase’s head of sports and entertainment marketing and masterminded the bank’s sponsorship of Queen Bey and Jay Z’s 2014 On the Run tour.
A source tells us, “Beyoncé basically cleaned house, got rid of her whole team, which included her cousin, and hired a new team. She wants to surround herself with business people who could take her career to an even higher level.” The insider added, “She has one album left to deliver before her deal is up with Columbia, plus she wants to make smarter decisions where it comes to touring, sponsorships and acting roles.”

Solange Knowles Offers A Reward for Her Lost Wedding Ring
People.com:
Solange Knowles had all the makings of a fabulous Mardi Gras planned: a great dress, a fabulous balcony view and a role as an Honorary Muse for the city’s Krewe of Muses, which earned her a spot in the parade atop a giant sparkly pump. But unfortunately things got a bit too festive, and her wedding ring reportedly went missing along the parade route.
"Honorary Muse Solange lost her wedding ring between Toledano and Foucher. Reward if found!,” the Krewe of Muses (an all-female Mardi Gras organization who gave Knowles her honorary title to recognize her contribution to the arts) wrote on their Facebook page.
The ring in question? The lovely gold band given to her on her wedding day by husband Alan Ferguson. And since you wouldn’t give just any ring to the girl who wore not one but two caped jumpsuits on her wedding day, her ring features a unique open design with two bezel-set stones of different sizes facing one another.
Before the ring went missing on the parade route, Knowles was clearly having a blast in her blue and green fringe Moschino dress, stacked ankle-tie heels and a boxy bag, which she wore to toss candy-themed trinkets from the huge sparkling shoe to cheering crowds.
